Failure is good. Don't overmanage risk.

A lot of rockets exploded before humans reached space.

  • Every time I go to the gym and lift a weight so heavy my muscles fail my body reengineers my muscles making them stronger.

  • Whenever a part or piece of an engineering effort fails I learn more about material properties, configurations, and design strategies.

  • When a investor or client rejects my proposal I learn more about communication, perception bias, and business relationship fit.

There is an old Disney movie called "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". As a heart and soul engineer Chitty Chitty Bang Bang resonated heavily with me and I couldn't watch it enough. If you're an engineer and you've never seen it...watch that shit. In Chitty Chitty Bang Bang there is a scene/song called "The Roses of Success". The Roses of Success is a beautiful theme about rising up from a failure and building again.
